Early morning in the central portion of Taiwan. Shortly before this frame was made, there was still total darkness about. Just a short time after this frame was made, the sun was out and blazing. I continued for many hours in the direction of the mountains, and was eventually able to arrive at the beauty and mystery of that landscape. Two things that stand out to me looking back. First, I am satisfied at the successful capture of the shrouded mountains, which at times, is elusive. Secondly, these mountains turned out to be far more distant than they seemed when I snapped this photo.
